Loudoun County Celebrates 30 Years of Farm Tours with Exciting New Addition of Bus Services

Loudoun County is thrilled to celebrate the 30th anniversary of its renowned Farm Tour, a cherished tradition that has brought the community closer to the region’s rich agricultural heritage, this weekend – October 21st and 22nd from 10:00 am through 4:00 pm. This year, we are excited to introduce a new feature that promises to make the tour experience even more enjoyable and convenient for all participants.

Loudoun County’s Department of Economic Development, in conjunction with Visit Loudoun, is proud to introduce the “Hop On, Hop Off” – Take the Bus and Leave the Rest to Us Tour featuring (2) – 28 passenger shuttle buses, a unique and hassle-free way to explore the county’s vibrant farm culture. This innovative addition is designed to enhance the experience for attendees, making it easier than ever to take in the beautiful sights and flavors of Loudoun County.

Key Features of the “Hop On, Hop Off” Tour:

  1. **Parking Convenience:** Participants can park their vehicles at either Paige’s Pit Stop or Hillsboro’s Old Stone School. These designated parking areas offer ample space for attendees, ensuring a stress-free start to their farm tour adventure.
  2. **Seamless Transportation:** Our buses are ready to transport visitors from the designated parking areas to the farms on the tour. You can relax and enjoy the scenic ride as you move from one location to another. Each bus will run a continuous loop along the designated farm tour route on the Route 9 corridor. The first bus departs from Hillsboro at 10:00 traveling up the route towards Two Twisted Posts.  The second bus departs from Paige’s Pit Stop at 10:30 traveling towards Double 8 Alpaca Farm.
  3. **Flexibility:** “Hop On, Hop Off” means you can choose your itinerary. Visit the farms that pique your interest, spend as much time as you like, and when you’re ready, hop on the bus to the next destination. It’s a flexible and personalized experience designed for your convenience.
  4. **Attractions:** Our Route 9 corridor tour is proud to be highlighting: Paige’s Pit Stop, Double 8 Alpaca Farm, Hillsboro Old Stone School – featuring a full farm market, Breaux Vineyards, and Two Twisted Posts. The first 100 riders will receive a Loudoun Grown, Loudoun Made Farm Tour Swag Bag.  Participants will enjoy all the fun, food, faire, animals, entertainment, and excitement offered at each unique stop.
