Just imagine it – blooming flowers, longer days, cool breezes  . . . that’s what I’m dreaming of these cold and blustery days.  The little light at the end of the tunnel is what we call “spring” in Virginia and some days it seems farther and farther away.  But don’t fret, there is a way to chase away the grey skies and catch a glimpse of spring!  Join us at the 8th Annual Loudoun Grown Expo!  Mark your calendars for Saturday, February 24, from 11:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., and head over to the Purcellville Skating Rink in the Fireman’s Field Complex.

The Loudoun Grown Expo is a must for locals and visitors.  Loudoun farms, craft beverage producers, and artisans come together to showcase Loudoun’s signature elements and present handmade and locally grown goods. Sip local wine and peruse artisan wares, sign up for a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) for the coming year and purchase local delectables. For a full list of vendors see the official press release here.

This family-friendly event is just what you need to emerge from winter hibernation and begin planning for spring.  The Loudoun Grown Expo will feature 40+ rural and/or agricultural businesses – find them listed here.  Concessions to be provided by Big Mikes BBQ  and beer to be provided by Old 690 for a nominal fee.

As part of the Loudoun Rural Economic Development Business Strategy, the rural team at Loudoun County Economic Development strives to introduce and help promote Loudoun rural and agricultural businesses to you. This is why we are so excited to join the Town of Purcellville and Play to Win, LLC., as a presenting sponsor of the Loudoun Grown Expo.

Whether this will be your first Loudoun Grown Expo or your eighth, we hope that you discover something new and exciting about western Loudoun’s diverse offerings.

There are so many activities and vendors, I just can’t decide what I will do first.  How about you? What are you most looking forward to at the 2018 Loudoun Grown Expo?

Hope to see you there!
