Sam Cerritos, owner of Cerritos Farms, has been cultivating the tastiest and most beautiful tomatoes and peppers in Loudoun County for 36 years. When he moved to the area, he consulted with some close friends about where he could find the perfect land to start growing high demand crops. Having farmed since he was a child, Cerritos was familiar with the process and knew the best secrets to maintaining healthy crops. The soil and climate in Loudoun County checked all the boxes. Today, Cerritos takes great pride in his farm and appreciates a loyal clientele.

“People love fresh produce and need to stock their pantries. It feels great when loyal customers return again and again and say our tomatoes are the best! We do it for the people,” said Cerritos.

Cerritos and his crew farm a wide variety of fresh produce, including tomatoes, peppers (bell, habanero, and jalapeno), corn, kale, beans, squash, zucchini, cantaloupe, watermelon, and snow peas. He occasionally rotates in other crops as well, depending on the growing season. Cerritos enjoys every step of the process, from tilling the ground, to planting the seeds, to harvesting the hard-earned crops.

Farming is not only a fulfilling career to him, but a God-given talent as well. “My heart leads me,” he said. “God put me in this job, and it fills me with pride when people enjoy the things we grow.” Visitors can find Cerritos Farms products at the farm stand located at 26479 Bull Run Post Office Rd, Centerville.
