Buddy Rizer, Executive Director of Loudoun Economic Development, expressed his enthusiasm for the event, stating, “The Spring Farm Tour holds a special place in my heart as one of my favorite events of the year. It serves as a testament to the incredible diversity of farms that call Loudoun County home. Each farm offers a unique experience, reflecting the ingenuity, passion, and dedication of our local farmers.
In addition to delightful farm experiences, each participating farm offers an educational component, providing visitors with valuable insights into agricultural practices, sustainability initiatives, and the journey from farm to table.
John Magistro, Business Development Officer of Agriculture and Business Services, emphasized the significance of connecting with local farmers, stating, “Meeting farmers and learning firsthand about where our food comes from is invaluable. The Spring Farm Tour provides a unique opportunity for attendees to forge meaningful connections with the hardworking individuals who cultivate the land and nourish our communities. Join us as we celebrate Loudoun’s agricultural bounty and the farmers who make it all possible.”
During this year’s Spring Farm Tour, Hop On, Hop Off bus tours will take participants on pre-selected routes to various farms, allowing a stress-free experience for those who wish to leave their car behind.
