It is no secret that Loudoun County boasts some beautiful views, scenic landscapes, and historic settings. So, when you start to get COVID-19 stir crazy, keep these Loudoun locations in mind when you want a change of scenery while maintaining a safe distance from others:

Dirt Farm Brewing

Nestled on the first ridge of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Dirt Farm Brewing is conveniently located off Rt. 7 in the cozy village of Bluemont, Va. As you ascend the mountain on their newly paved road, you will pass by rows of crops and apple trees. Once you reach the top of their Taproom, over 1,000 feet above sea level, Dirt Farm’s panoramic views of the Loudoun Valley will take your breath away. Focusing on plow-to-pint beers brewed with produce grown on the farm, you can bring a little piece of western Loudoun to be enjoyed at home.

Harpers Ferry Brewing

Situated on the cliffs overlooking the Potomac River, Harpers Ferry Brewing’s one-of-a-kind view is a must see. Located at the Harpers Ferry Adventure Center, it is the perfect spot to stop for some fresh air. Offering beer, growlers, and pizza to go, a local musician might even serenade you as you wait for your curbside pick up! Follow them on Facebook for a complete tap list and other to go items.

Historic Downtown Leesburg

Built in 1740, there is a lot of history to discover throughout Leesburg’s brick sidewalks. Take a drive down each street and appreciate the architecture of the old homes and commercial buildings. Then, support one of the restaurants by ordering curbside pick-up! There are many great restaurants in Historic Downtown Leesburg, so check out our directory to find one that sounds good to your taste buds.

Hillsborough Vineyard & Brewery

The drive through the rural town of Hillsboro on Rt. 9 is scenic enough, but if you continue to drive up to Hillsborough Vineyard & Brewery, you will be amazed by the views overlooking western Loudoun. The tasting room, an old stone farmhouse circa 1840, is a great spot to park while you wait for your curbside pick up of wine or beer.

Village of Lucketts

Located off Rt. 15 just north of Leesburg, Va., there is a lot to explore in this unincorporated hamlet. Venture out for wine or beer curbside pick up at one of the many wineries and breweries in the area, including Tarara Winery, Vanish Farmwoods Brewery, Barnhouse Brewery, Hidden Brook Winery, and more. If the drive makes you hungry, we suggest stopping by Roots 657 for curbside pick up of their made-to-order items and family refrigerated take out meals to make your weeknight dinner planning a breeze.
