Farmers, brewers, and anyone interested in craft beer is invited to join Future Harvest at Corcoran Brewing Company to learn the basics of hops production as well as distribution and marketing techniques to sell hops locally and regionally. As the craft brewing movement gains momentum, demand for regionally produced hops is growing. Stan Driver of Hoot N’Holler hops will share his many years of experience producing hops as well as creating partnerships between farmers and craft brewers to form cooperatives, which allow smaller producers to participate in this growing market. We will also hear from Kevin Bills of Corcoran Brewing Company and Favio Garcia of Lost Rhino Brewing Company about their experience in local and regional sourcing. Of course, there will also be a tour of Corcoran’s facilities and a chance to taste their brews.
Speakers: Stan Driver, Hoot N’Holler Hops; Favio Garcia, Lost Rhino Brewing Company; Kevin Bills, Corcoran Brewing Company
